1 August 2023 Hello, everyone. This is gonna be a little bit of a long read, but I have a lot to say! 😊 A little more than a week has passed and I think I’m still processing stuff…! Sunday July 23 was the 2nd Annual Forever 41 Memorial Ride. We had a slightly smaller crew than last year, but we raised more money. I can’t begin to thank everyone enough for their help, their contributions, their love and support. We tried to branch out a little this year, to keep things fresh and interesting and give everyone just a little more *bang for your buck* – in addition to the Ride, we held a Silent Auction and a 50/50 raffle.
We’d like to thank our incredible Sponsors, without which none of what we do would be possible –
Loose Moose Theatre Company. These guys – they stepped up and offered support, and they mean it. They’ve given us draw prizes, silent auction prizes, they have our information available on their front desk. They put on a great show, too – go check out their Saturday night Improv, it’s usually good for a belly laugh.
Save-On Foods – almost all the food at the Ride was donated by Save On Foods Panorama Hills, Walden, and Okotoks locations. They’ve all promised support next year, too – they believe in supporting community, let’s support them in return.
Safeway D’Arcy Crossing Okotoks – this beauty brand-new store donated the breakfast pastries for the Ride. They are a new supporter for us, and we look forward to working with them in the future.
Spec Savers Chinook – silent auction prize and bonus discount cards for the swag bags.
Acclaim Hotel – silent auction prize.
Stars Inn & Suites – silent auction prizes.
Calgary Flames Foundation – silent auction prizes.
Busted Gearz Riding Club – silent auction prize.
Robertson Bulk Sales – monetary donation to support our shoestring operations budget.
Our wonderful riding friends who showed up to enjoy the day with us – members of Bikers are Buddies Canada, Busted Gearz Riding Club, Against All Abuse, Darkest Hour Alberta, and Knights of Columbus.
Thank you to the rest of the Forever 41 crew – my brother and co-founder, Rex, for all his hard work running the logistics for the Ride and getting buy in from both Calgary Police and Alberta Sheriffs. My daughter Kody for helping with swag bags and volunteering her crew for transport. My husband Ray for helping out wherever was needed, whether that be bag-stuffing at home, or listening patiently to me bouncing ideas at him, or being the calm voice just checking that I’m okay.
Our friend Santana Lindsay for stepping up to run Ride registration for me while I was flying round like a headless chicken, and then zipping down to south Calgary to help set up and run the food tables.
Our friend Jamie Le Pla, who came out to Airdrie at the start of the Ride to wish us luck and buy some 50/50 tickets, with instructions to donate his winnings if he won. Guess what? His ticket was pulled, so that was an extra $150 donation.
And last but certainly not least, ALL OF YOU.
This year, we raised $3200 for the Distress Centre. Incredible!
19 July 2023 We have received approval to run a 50/50 raffle! Tickets are $2 each, CASH ONLY (per AGLC rules) and will be available from Pauline day-of the Ride.

5 April 2023 – Come meet some of the Forever 41 Crew at Two Wheel Sunday. Register for the Ride and pick up a swag bag, grab a patch, stop by and say hello! Who knows, we might have something interesting to reveal….
4 April 2023 – Silent Auction! We’ve gotten some really sweet donations for our Silent Auction, and more are rolling in. Our latest HOT item is something signed, donated by none other than the Calgary Flames! What will it be? Our Silent Auction opens two weeks before the Ride, on 9 July 2023 at noon sharp.
1 April 2023 – The Registration page is *LIVE*. We are asking everyone to please pre-register for the Ride, so we have a better idea of numbers. We are going *BIGGER* and *BETTER* this year, and want to make this a wonderful experience for all.
25 March 2023 – Our most important news right now is this brand-new, sparkly website. We’ll be posting updates and such here as things come together for the Ride. We are only 120 days out from the Ride!
